As an outsider that came into this school as a student from America for a year, I can definitely say that this is one of the best schools I have ever seen. The staff truly loves each and every child. I have worked in many different preschools but nothing has compared to the experience that I had the one year I spent at Kookaburra Learning Center. I was there from the beginning of the school year to the end and I was extremely impressed with how the teachers and Principal were with the kids and their families. Parents that were initially apprehensive because they were not sure of what to expect could not stop praising Mrs. Tejal by the end of the year. Mrs. Tejal Mehta and her staff give each student the love and attention that they need at this age. I have never seen a group of kids more well-behaved and willing to learn as I did in this school. One thing is for sure, Tejal Mehta cares deeply about children and their development. My daughter Riana was all of 16 months when I was looking to enroll her in a play school... Extremely worried and anxious like any first time mother. Little more apprehensive when I met Dr. Tejal for the first time. ... She was very professional but formal. She didn't try to be extra sweet (like every other school we'd been to and gotten used to) didn't offer any exaggerated sales pitch to get our admission cheques, while she answered all our queries patiently , she didn't over emphasise on how great her school was; simply said one thing assertively- I want what's best for your child. If you allow me I would like to help her grow her individual and social skills .

I took riana to meet her anyway despite my apprehension. .. and i was surprised at how the formal and professionally distant woman transformed into a soft, affectionate and approachable teacher in an instant. She tried to make Riana comfortable and my shy and then reluctant daughter responded to her within minutes. That was it for me.

Since then there was no looking back

I've seen my daughter Bloom with the learning centre, they have helped me tackle learning related and emotional hurdles. The principal and her staff have always been supportive towards the smallest need with regards to Riana . Sure the schools approach is different and requires positive efforts from the parents end, they have a slightly strict set of guidelines and may not sugar-coat things to tell you what you want to hear . The principal has constructed a unique approach to teaching with her education and experience that other parents/ grand parents sometimes don't approve of (but its not her job to please them!) She does not impose her way but surely puts it forward. I'm positive that no mom can declare that Dr. Tejal Mehta or her staff didn't attend to any child related assistance required (even if the request seemed menial and silly) She will amaze you at times with her assessments and knowledge.

The school is exceptionally caring and loving and I've seen other kids (the ones that others or even their own mother's claimed were difficult ) blossom in front of my eyes. I can't wait for my son to start...

I know for a fact that she has stood true to her words- Wanting the best for our babies

The teachers are kind hearted, well informed and absolutely committed. Tejal maam really knows each child very well. She is strict and will not mince her words, but it is only to teach the parents what is required and is in the best interest of the child.

In this world where kids hang around with gadgets we learnt to entertain our kids with books, toys and outdoors. We learnt the power of love over "strictness" to discipline children.
